Michelin Guide's 2008 List of Top Area Restaurants

The 2008 edition of the Michelin Guide, covering the San Francisco Bay Area and Wine Country, came out this week and is available in area bookstores.

Last year, there was quite a bit of commotion when the venerable Madrona Manor in Healdsburg was not even mentioned in the esteemed restaurant guide. But, this year, not only was it mentioned, it was given a star. On the other hand, Dry Creek Kitchen, another Healdsburg favorite, had its star taken away. Cyrus, also in Healdsburg, maintained its two-star rating. And the Farmhouse Inn and Restaurant in Forestville, and K & L Bistro in Sebastopol, both maintained their one-star ratings.
