Best Bet for the Weekend

There are a number of great events coming up. But, my top pick of the best thing to do this weekend is to take advantage of the warm nights (the forecast says they'll continue) and go out in downtown Santa Rosa. I’ve taken detours and driven down 4th Street for the past couple of nights just to see all the people out in the restaurants and bars and simply walking around. Everyone is absolutely giddy with the warmer weather.

Usually in Santa Rosa, no matter how hot it gets during the day, you still have to pull out your jacket once the sun goes down. But lately…ahh…we’ve had a summery sense of freedom while running around in our shorts and sundresses well into the night. City leaders are always trying to figure out how to entice people into the downtown area. After what I’ve seen recently, I’d have to say that heat lamps lining the streets might well do the trick.
