  • April 25 : A Walk on the Wild Side - Project Africa at Safari West
    A dinner, dancing, and silent auction event offering African fare and music. Dress: safari wear! Proceeds support African children affected by HIV. (707) 887-1647

  • April 26 : Castles and Kites Festival
    Sand Castle building competition, learn about and how to fly kites from small to many person kites. Picnic, build sand castles, fly kites, surf, fish and so much more. Free. 11 am to 3pm; Doran Regional Park Beach, Bodega Bay; (707) 565-2041

  • April 26 : Petaluma's Butter & Egg Days Parade
    The 2008 Parade honors Petaluma's Sesquicentennial with more than 100 units celebrating: "Happy Birthday, Petaluma!" Parade features marching bands, floats, dance and drill teams, costumed marchers, equestrians and antique cars and tractors all showcasing Petaluma's 150 years of community spirit and rivertown bounty. Surrounding the Parade is a festival of food, fun, crafts and merchandise sales to entertain everyone.

  • April 26 : Santa Rosa Symphony Latin Waves Mexico
    Viva el Mariachi! Moncayo: Huapango, Galindo: Sones de mariachi, Pelea de gallos, Guadalajara and more at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts.

  • April 26 : Sonoma County Museum Unveiled

  • April 26 : Harvest for the Hungry Spring Plant Sale
    Thousands of organically grown vegetables, including a wide variety of unusual heirloom tomatoes, flowering annuals and perennials, and medicinal and culinary herbs. Santa Rosa.

    Rhonda R. McClure Nationally known genealogical lecturer specializing in Computerized Genealogy to give an all day seminar at theWells Fargo Center for the Arts. Topics include: Getting the Most from Online Research, Newspapers - Finding the Buried Treasure, Old and New - Combining the Best of the Internet and Traditional Research, and If I Knew Then What I Know Now

  • April 26 – 27 : Sebastopol Apple Blossom Festival
    Annual celebration of Sebastopol's apple-growing heritage at Sebastopol Veterans Memorial Bldg. (282 S. High St.) and Ives Park. Live music, fine arts show, crafts vendors, exhibit hall, model railroad show and fun for kids. Wine Tent with gourmet food tasting and refreshments of all kinds throughout the festival.   • April 27: 11 Annual Great Petaluma Chili Cook-off
    Vote for your favorite chili, salsa and beer by the best chefs and breweries in the Bay Area. Lots of food, entertainment, music, and a raucous good time. Benefits Cinnabar Theater Youth Program.

  • April 27 : Spring Youth Chess Tournament
    Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks is hosting this fun Spring event! Trophies will be awarded for ages 7-10yr & 10-14 yrs. Pre-registration recommended, call 543-3282 or 543-3737 for information. New players will be tested for placement using the Swiss System of Pairing.

  • April 27 : Baby Blues is in the House!
    Jerry Scott and Rick Kirkman, creators of Baby Blues, will give a presentation about their collaborative strip and be available to speak with visitors and sign books at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa. See their work on display at the Museum’s Language of Lines exhibition.

  • April 27 : Petaluma Downtown Antique Faire
    Browse and shop among the more than 180 vendors offering antiques and unique collectibles. br]

  • April 28 : Play On! Golf Tournament
    Golf Tournament to benefit Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Ensembles and Youth Orchestra tour to Europe. Package includes green fees, golf cart, dinner and entertainment. At the Oakmont Golf Club in Santa Rosa.
