  • May 1: Kenny Rogers at the Wells Fargo Center
    "I've always been like a boomerang." Rogers says. "You can throw me away, but you can rest assured that I'm coming back."

  • May 1 : Comics Stripped: The Other Side of Humor
    Three nationally known stand up comics tell stories about their lives as stand up comics: the fear, the joy, success and failure. This is a fundraiser for Sonoma County's longest running Opera Company, Cinnabar Theater.

  • May 2 - 3: 12th Annual California Herdeljezi Festival
    A benefit event to help the Roma of Kosovo. The festival celebrates the folk art traditions of Roma (Gypsies); featuring traditional music, songs, dances, stories, foods, crafts and customs of the Roma, within a strong community-building context, and with a goal of creating a sense of 'mahala' (shared community-neighborhood) amongst all who participate.

  • May 2 - 4: Bach B minor Mass
    Bach's sacred magnum opus glorifies both voice and instrument, as the Santa Rosa Symphony orchestra wings the listener to heaven with brilliant harmonies and depth of sound.

  • May 2 : An Evening with Percy Schmeiser
    Schmeiser became an international symbol for independent farmers' rights during his prolonged legal battle with Monsanto.

  • May 2 : First Friday Art Walk Downtown Santa Rosa
    Visual artists stage temporary exhibits of their work in approximately 40 participating venues throughout Downtown Santa Rosa’s different districts for this free self-guided tour. Street performers are scheduled through the site and in participating businesses. Rosie the Trolley offers free shuttle service throughout the event area. Free carriage rides at Railroad Square. This summer's art walks happen May 2, June 6, July 11, August 1, September 5, and October 3.

  • May 3 : Derby Day
    Fundraiser and auction for Meals on Wheels includes a competition among some of the great chefs of Sonoma County, lunch, prepared by other leading chefs, silent & live auctions and simulcast of the Kentucky Derby race.   • May 3 - 4 : Salmon Creek ArtWalk Open Studios
    Artists in their studios and guest artists showing a wide range of work in ceramics, painting, sculpture, glass, photography, wearable art, woodturning, and more. One mile North of Bodega Bay on Highway 1. Follow the ArtWalk signs. Free; 10am to 5pm; (707) 875-3500

  • May 3 : Wonder Bread 5 at the Bidnight Madness Live/Silent Auctions
    Restaurants, wineries and breweries offer treats during the silent auction. Afterwards, dance to local favorites Wonder Bread 5. Proceeds benefit SSU Athletic Scholarships.
