  • September 8 and 9: Katmandu Fall Festival
    A festival celebrating Nepalese culture with traditional food, music and ethnic dance performances. Vendors include art, antiques, imported goods from Nepal, India, Tibet. Also a live auction featuring a Serpa Trek, 1 week in Hawaii and more. This is a nonprofit event benefiting the children of Nepal.

  • September 8 : Summer at Calabazas—Bilingual Hike
    Stroll the hills and valleys of the Calabazas Open Space Preserve. Families are welcome and a Spanish speaker will be on hand for translation. 6 hour hike, with 3 hour option.

  • September 8 : 12th Annual Sebastopol Cajun/Zydeco Festival
    Live music and a huge dance floor! Great authentic Cajun food and free activities for the kids.

  • September 9: Country Music Festival
    Headliners include The Shannon Rider Band, The Dave Russell Band; Pete Stringfellow, and The California Cowboys. Chuck wagon vittles include barbecued tri-tip, chicken and pork with all the fixings along with chili, hot dogs, garlic fries and watermelon. Beer, wine, Hurricanes, Margaritas, etc. (Festival organized by the same folks who brought you yesterday’s Cajun/Zydeco fest.)

  • September 9 : Building the World’s Largest BLT
    The Windsor Farmers Market, with the guidance of Michele Anna Jordan, author of many cookbooks including the “BLT Cookbook,” will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the biggest Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich when they construct their 120-foot BLT. Also, tomato and salsa tastings, contests, chefs demos.
