Larry Peter

Larry Peter is the owner of Spring Hill Cheese, which runs Peter Pumpkin Patch. Right now, all the cheese is made on site. But Peter recently bought the Creamery in downtown Petaluma, across the steet from City Hall, and he plans to start making his cheese there. Once that happens, he hopes to turn the Spring Hill site into an educational facility. ,"We've become so disconnected from our food that we don't even know how it's grown or where it comes from. We need to have the farm experience so that we have a better understanding of what makes food good food," Peter said. He envisions the Spring Hill farm as a place where people of all ages can come to learn about planting crops and raising farm animals, as well as learning about the need for organic and sustainable farming.
