Although Primus front man, and Sonoma County resident, Les Claypool had been putting on some the most inspired New Year's Eve celebrations throughout the San Francisco area for 16 years, the 2006-2007 party marked the first time the event was held in Santa Rosa. And what a show! Claypool had teamed up with the folks who put together the extremely popular Harmony Festival each summer, and Harmony's signature marks could be found all over the New Year's production. From the artsy-sexy stilt walkers to the free-spirited hula hoopers, the tribal New Age goddess spirit of the Harmony folks came head to head with the hard-partying ethos of the Primus fans, and the groups blended together magnificently. ...Let there be peace on earth. And party on!
