  • April 26 : Fire! Fire! (ages 2-5)
    A short introductory set of stories and fingerplays about fire fighters, followed by a visit from the Petaluma Fire Department and their fire truck! Free. For children ages 2 to 5, accompanied by parent or caregiver. Please note: The Petaluma Fire Dept. will visit us only if there are no emergencies to which they must attend at this time.

  • April 27 : The African Children's Choir
    The African Children's Choir, selected annually from thousands of orphans and disadvantaged children in Africa, delivers a powerful blend of singing, dancing, and storytelling to bridge cultural differences and spread hope to audiences throughout the world. Proceeds go to Heifer Intl'.

  • April 27, 28 and May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: East of the Sun and West of the Moon
    A magical Norwegian fairy tale fusing Eastern and Western theatrical styles. The full-length family show is recommended for age seven and up. (Contains trolls.)

  • April 28 : Petaluma's Butter & Egg Days Parade
    This year’s theme is "Super Town, Super Heroes" in honor of the Petaluma Fire Department's 150th Birthday. Traditionally, the 26-year-old, two-hour parade celebrates the regions rich agricultural history and Petaluma's historic place in California's history. This year, residents will celebrate their own heroes of today and the heroes of the Petaluma's past, including the first fire company. The parade typically features more than 2,000 people and travels 12 blocks through Historic Downtown, starting at noon. Cow Chip Throwing Contest at 10 a.m., Cutest Little Chick Contest at 11 a.m. and much more.

  • April 28 – 29 : Sebastopol Apple Blossom Festival
    Annual celebration of Sebastopol's apple-growing heritage. Live music, fine arts show, crafts vendors, exhibit hall, model railroad show and activities for kids. New “green” home and garden show, and new quilt show. Wine Tent with gourmet food tasting and refreshments of all kinds throughout the festival. Parade down Main St. on Sat. at 10 a.m.

  • April 29 : Sonoma County 4-H Chickenque
    Games, animals, exhibits, and several live bands, including "The Shannon Rider Band" and "Moon Struck." Barbeque food tickets are discounted to $7 available from any Sonoma County 4-H member or at the county 4-H office.

  • April 29 : Scooter Rosa
    Join Revolution Moto and Santa Rosa Rec and Parks for the first annual one day scooter-fest in Downtown Santa Rosa. The ride, which will include approximately 100 classic, vintage, and colorful new Vespa motor scooters, will begin and end at Courthouse Square. Riders will follow a route that will take them through all four corners of Santa Rosa. Residents can greet the Vespa rally as it comes through their neighborhood then join us in Courthouse Square for a great celebration featuring live music, local food booths games prizes and special surprises. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Big Brother Big Sisters of Sonoma County. (707) 543-3734

  • April 30 : Pajama Storytime
    Join us at Pajamatime, for some fun for the whole family! We'll share stories, songs, and lots of fun! Feel free to wear your favorite pajamas, bring a blanket and a teddy bear too. Parking is free after 6:00.

  • April 30 : Castles & Kites
    Watch sand castle ‘experts’ at their craft. There will be a designated area next to the Cypress Day Use area for visitors of all ages to participate in sand castle/sculpture building. Park staff will have tools and molds for children to use. Kites will be the other big attraction at this event, and big is the word! Watch the huge kites hover over Doran Beach, while you try your hand at flying your own kite or one supplied by the two Bodega Bay-based kite vendors on site. There will be stunt kite demonstrations all day.
