  • July 4 : Fourth of July Celebrations in Sonoma County

  • July 6 : Revolutionary Tea Party An alternative Independence Day celebration. Sing songs of protest, hope and peace with Laughing Gravy. Dress as your favorite revolutionary and/or wear your Summer of Love outfit.

  • July 6 : First Friday Artwalk 2007
    Local artists display their work at downtown Santa Rosa businesses.
    5 – 8 p.m.; Free

  • July 6 and 7 : Shakespeare Savvy Youth Players
    Youth artists perform “Lovers, Kings, Villains & Fools,” scenes from Shakespeare most beloved comedies and tragedies.

  • July 7 : California Plants vs. Exotic Species
    For ages 12 and up. Join Environmental Educator Stephanie Lennox on a 1 ½ mile hike along Santa Rosa Creek to discover the interactions of riparian (near a creek) plants and animals. Learn how differences between California plants and non-native species affect the diversity and health of wildlife habitat.

  • July 7 and 8 : Train Rides in the Park
    Ride a little steam engine in the park, 1st Saturday and Sunday of the each month, through October, weather permitting. Sponsored by the Redwood Empire Live Steamers.

  • July 7 : Lavender Festival and Children's Activity Day at Petaluma Farmers Market
    Live folk and blue grass music. Free craft projects for kids.

  • July 8 : It's Kid's Time Xtreme
    Geared for ages 7 to 16. Games, prizes, candy, interactive booths, spelling bees, sports trivia contests, design a surfboard contest, dance demos, mini concerts and much more

  • July 8 : Live at Juilliard! Summer Concert Series
    First concert of the season: rockabilly artist David Crimmen will open the season and perform on the brand new, big stage recently purchased by the SR Rec and Parks Dept. The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition will be there providing free bicycle parking and a loaner lawn chair to all who ride their bicycle to Live at Juilliard! Pearson and Company will also be there with their picnic style offerings! Plus, beverages available from The Coffee Girls.

  • July 8 : 53rd Annual Enmanji Temple Teriyaki Barbecue and Bazaar

  • July 11 : On Nature's Trail
    Explore the mysteries of nature at Sonoma County Regional parks. The Environmental Discovery Center presents 'On Nature's Trail', a self paced, drop in program running thru August 12th.
