The food highlight of the festival was The Girl and the Fig catering booth, which is the catering division of the famous The Girl and the Fig restaurant on the square. The booth was the largest of the Ball and offered several varieties of generous samples. It was like a procession, with festival goers standing in a single file line and walking up to the tables to receive each offering. Each tasting was followed by "ooohs" and "aaahs. " Highlights were the Brown Turkey Fig wrapped in Smoked Applewood Bacon, Anchovy and Onion Pissaladiere and, for dessert, the Bittersweet Chocolate filled with Caramel.
