Sonoma's Red and White Ball 2007

If the truth be told, we weren't expecting much. When I asked my photographer to cover the Red and White Ball, he half-heartedly mumbled, "Oh, another wine event." Don't get us wrong--the Sonoma County wine events are fantastic. But, after covering so many for this website, I have to admit, we were getting a wee bit jaded. After all, man cannot live by pinot and truffles alone. And so, it was with a slight lack of enthusiasm that J. Kamiyama ventured off to Sonoma that night. So, you can well imagine my surprise when he called late in the evening, yelling into his cell phone, "This thing is a blast! It's a total blast!"
