De La Montanya Estate Vineyards and Winery : Field of Dreams

Dennis De La Montanya (left), owner of De La Montanya Estate Vineyards and Winery, and winemaker Michael Loykasek took part in the annual Winter Wineland event held Saturday and Sunday, January 13 and 14. In the week immediately preceding this event, the annual San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the world's largest competition for American wines, was taking place in Cloverdale. That Friday, Montanya and Kasek learned that their wines had won a number of medals. In this picture, they can be seen out in the vineyard, with a bottle of one of their award-winning wines.
