The annual Winter Wineland event, put on by the Russian River Wine Road, is a wonderful excuse to drive through some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable and taste some of the best wines made. Over 100 wineries, many of which are not usually open to the public, participate in the event and offer tastings, sometimes from reserve wines. Plus, owners and winemakers are usually on hand to answer questions and simply chat.
