The northwest quadrant of Santa Rosa is the area that falls north of Hwy. 12 and west of Hwy. 101. See map This area was once dominated by prune orchards. Now, it is filled with subdivisions. The Northwest section of town is best known for its abundance of sports facilities, such as:
- Finley Park, the Finley Community Center and Finley Aquatic Center, features the citys largest swim complex and more.
- Redwood Empire Ice Arena (better know as Snoopys Home Ice) The skating rink was built by Peanuts creator, and hockey enthusiast, Charles Schulz.
