    A story about three American Indian families growing up in Santa Rosa’s South Park neighborhood (by the Sonoma County Fairgrounds) in the 1960. The tales were taken from three short stories in the book Grand Avenue by Greg Sarris of Santa Rosa.

    Santa Rosa High School was supposed to have been used. But, once the parents caught wind of the film’s unsavory nature, the school pulled out of the filming. Perhaps in the only “UN-thank you” in movie-making history, there’s a section in the film’s credits that reads "No thanks whatsoever to the Santa Rosa City School District Governing Board.”
