A hike through Sonoma Coast's Bodega Head offers panoramic views of Bodega Bay, the Sonoma and Marin coasts, Point Reyes peninsula, Tomales Point, and more. Plus, Bodega Head is considered one of the best places in the county for bird watching and whale watching. Volunteer docents are at the parking lot on weekends, January to May, to assist the public in viewing the annual gray whale migration.
Armstrong Woods
This ancient grove of redwoods is one place that many people find not only beautiful but also very powerful, magical, spiritual.
Annadel State Park
This nearly 5,000-acre state park is very diverse with rolling hills, meadows, woodlands, streams and a lake. The 35 miles of trails are great for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding.
Santa Rosa Cycling Club
One of the most popular ways to see the great outdoors is by bike. And the Santa Rosa Cycling Club is a social/recreational organization that provides its members and area cyclists--beginners and pros--with club rides, trail reviews, newsletters, events calendars and more.
